Miami Valley Bird Club & Rescue in Ohio (https://mvbcr.org/)

is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Ohio that is devoted to making a difference in the avian community. We provide rescue, adoption, education and support through a network comprised solely of devoted volunteers who love all species of birds, domestic and wild.

2021 NEWS: 13 birds rescued iso far. All birds that we had in foster care have found permanent homes. The Peach’s Foundation, a small rescue, just rescued in October, 4 big birds (3 Macaws and 1 Cockatoo). They are in need of cages and food and help with vetting. Mvbcr is sending them some cages that were donated and food and $100 towards vetting.

2020 NEWS: Rescued 3 cockatiels, 3 amazons, 1 severe macaw, 1 blue and gold macaw, 10 parakeets, and 2 finches for a total of 20 birds. Some fundraising events were postponed.

2019 news: Rescued 8 cockatiels, 18 diamond doves, 1 conure, 1 blue and gold macaw, and 6 parakeets for a total of 34 birds.

Assisted or donated to other rescues, passed bookmarks out about things to consider before getting a bird, and held fundraisers.
